Overview for patients
The London Clinic’s reputation has been built not just upon medical expertise, but upon devotion to patients’ comfort and wellbeing, even if you are attending just for consultations or tests or as a day patient.
The majority of London Clinic consultants are eminent leaders in their field and some have royal appointments. In addition, a large percentage hold NHS teaching posts in their key areas of expertise.
The International office can assist overseas patients with financial advice, correct financial documentation and letters of guarantee.  Interpreters are available for Arabic-speaking patients.  The London Clinic can also assist with advice on hotels in the area.
The London Clinic was the first UK private hospital to introduce a comprehensive thrombosis risk assessment programme for patients.
If you are admitted for surgery an enviable nurse-to-patient ratio helps to provide personal, responsive care to all patients.  Each patient has the comfort and privacy of their own air-conditioned room with en-suite facilities, satellite television, radio, telephone, refrigerator and safety deposit box.
patient satisfaction
"I would particularly like to comment on the staff - nursing, catering and cleaning who were all wonderful - nothing was too much trouble and they really made one feel special."
Patient Satisfaction Survey, October 2007
"My first stay with you.  I was very impressed with the cleanliness everywhere and the sense of pride in what they were doing.  I can't find fault with anything, so a big thank you."
Clinical outcomes
The London Clinic publishes data on clinical outcomes.  Surgery may be cancelled if the patient has a high temperature or cold on admission or is not deemed fit for surgery on stringent risk assessment criteria.
Appropriate treatment results in a very low rate of unplanned return to theatre or readmission within 31 days for the same or related condition.
International patients
As well as these two main sites The London Clinic operates through a number of consulting suites and a newly opened pathology laboratory in Harley Street.  It treats approx. 20,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients annually and offers all specialties, with the exception of cardiac surgery, obstetrics and psychiatry.
The strategy of continual investment enables The London Clinic to undertake highly complex procedures, tests and treatments in addition to routine surgery and medicine. This involves the extended specialist clinical teams and support services such as: critical care, radiology, pathology and physiotherapy.
MHL (Medilux Healthcare Ltd.) promotes selected clinics and certain specialities within individual hospitals, where we believe the standards of care and medical equipment to be exceptional.  We provide you with general information and details of how to make contact with the centre, but we shall not be responsible for the quality of any diagnosis or treatment given or for the failure to diagnose or treat any condition.
Sometimes we provide a dedicated e-mail address and we pass your enquiry to the relevant department but we cannot advise or enter into correspondence about individual cases and we do not arrange or facilitate treatments.
